Devlog #1: First Steps in My FPS Zombie Shooter Game
Lab Escape » Devlog
Greetings! 👋
The game is still in its early stages, but I’ve made some solid progress that I’m eager to show.
What’s Been Done So Far:
- Zombie Animation: Right now, I’ve got a zombie slowly walking towards the player, and it’s looking pretty good! I used a zombie skin from the Unity Asset Store, which gave me a nice starting point.
- Animations & Blending: I set up the zombie’s animation states and blended different animations together.
Upcoming Features:
- Gunfire Animations: Next up, I’m working on adding gunfire animations. This will bring the combat to life!
- Particle System: I’ll be introducing a particle system for the gunfire effects (like muzzle flash and bullet impacts), which should make shooting feel much more dynamic.
- ADS (Aim Down Sights) Animation: I’m also planning to add an animation for aiming down the sights (ADS), which is essential for a polished FPS experience.
- HUD UI: Lastly, I’m starting to work on the HUD UI. You’ll be able to see important elements like health, ammo, and objective markers as I build them out.
Stay tuned for more updates as I continue building this game! I’ve got big plans, and I can’t wait to share them 😎🤘
